On March 2, middle school students enjoyed Discovery Day, a day in which our National Junior Honor Society invited different speakers, hobbyists, and professionals to come and speak to students about their unique careers and passions.
Students had a blast rotating through 4 sessions, ending the day with a Zoom conference in which we heard Gary D. Schmidt, author of Wednesday Wars and Okay for Now, speak about his life growing up and his passion for writing.
Many thanks to all who helped – including our stellar NJHS officers and Form 8 student: Max Elmendorf ‘27, Devika Patel ‘27, Hadley Bunch ‘27, and Meri Rabke ‘27.
NJHS would also like to thank all of our speakers. If you or someone you know might be interested in speaking and presenting next year, please send an email to Chase Hebert (chebert@smhall.org).
