Men’s & Women’s Soccer Seasons Come to a Close

The 2022-2023 campaign for our Men’s & Women’s Soccer programs officially came to a close on Tuesday, February 21. After a third place finish in a competitive District 4-5A women’s soccer fell in the Area Championship to Fort Bend Christian Academy, 6-0. This marks the end of another season advancing to post-season for SMH and the future appears to be very bright for a very young women’s soccer squad. 

Coming up just a game short in qualifying for the state playoffs, men’s soccer continues to show great promise. An equally young team in their own right, first-year head coach Gil Gomez has the Barons on the right track and believes that the Barons’ best days are in front of them.
