Lower School students make Thanksgiving cards for patients at NE Baptist hospital

During classroom guidance with Lower School Counselor Susan Moore-Sickmann, students in Forms 1-5 made Thanksgiving cards for the patients at the Northeast Baptist Hospital.  The students carefully drew and colored the cards before signing them “from a Saint Mary’s Hall Student.”  This year students in Forms 3-5 were able to finish younger students’ cards, as well as some of their classmates’ cards.  This has become a tradition spanning over 20 years for Lower School students, and it’s a great way to give back to the San Antonio community while enjoying time with the school community. While working on cards, students shared for what they were grateful.  The answers included families, teachers, school, homes, pets, air to breath and life itself.
