The Social Studies Department is proud to announce that in a repeat performance from last year, every one of our Form 9 National History Day projects made it to the awards podium at the San Antonio regional competition. We also congratulate the student projects that are advancing to the state competition in April. We had FOUR 1st place awards and SIX 2ND place awards. The documentary on John Lewis (Courtney King) received a special recognition - Willie Lee Gay Award for African American History Award and a paper on the Heliocentric Theory (Shubham Solanki) received the Special STEM in History Award. Please join us as we celebrate our students for all the hard work they put in since mid-August, and let’s cheer on the projects headed to the next level of competition – the Texas State History Day competition in Austin.
