Saint Mary’s Hall Field Hockey hosted the 2022 TAPPS Field Hockey State Championships as they welcomed three other schools on October 27 and 28. The Barons fell in the state semifinal versus eventual state champion Houston St. Agnes, followed by a thriller in the Third Place game on day two. Regulation and overtime were not enough on this day as the Barons fell in a valiant effort to Fort Worth All-Saints in penalty strokes, 2-1. Three days later, Baron Cross Country found themselves going up against the very best in Texas at the 2022 TAPPS Cross Country Championships in Waco. Both Baron men’s and women’s programs would deliver historic performances as they finished with four Top 50 finishers. When the day was all over the men’s and women’s programs would place their highest in program history as they finished in 5th and 12th place respectively. In addition, the Barons produced their first-ever All-State award winner in ‘24, Christopher Chan. Congratulations to all of our athletes on tremendous seasons!!
