On Friday, March 3, acclaimed speaker and award-winning author Trudy Ludwig spent the day at Saint Mary's Hall and had a special visit with our Lower School students. Ms. Ludwig is the author of numerous children’s books that help young readers connect and engage with their peers in kinder and more caring ways.
Our students were delighted to welcome Ms. Ludwig on campus and engage with her throughout the day. Ms. Ludwig gave two presentations, one for Montessori through Form 1, and another for Forms 2-5. In addition to reading a few of her beloved books, she spoke about promoting kindness and answered questions from our enthusiastic listeners.
Ms. Ludwig wrapped up the day by conducting a Writing Workshop with our Form 5 students. She taught them about Haiku and helped them create their own Haiku in the form of a short picture book.
