SMH Digital Cinema helps students harness their creativity, while learning theories that include critical thinking skills. Students receive a strong foundation in filmmaking in this program. In our Digital Cinema program, students work in a media lab with professional-grade gear, and are constantly challenged to tell great stories in a unique way. Students in Digital Cinema have produced award-winning films at some of the top film festivals in the country, including SXSW, SAFILM, and the All-American High School Film Festival (the biggest student film festival in the world). Students’ films have been screened at more than 100 film festivals nationwide.
In the last seven years, every senior digital cinema student who has applied to film school has been accepted into colleges renowned for their film programs.
