We encourage our students to make good choices, exercise sound judgment, and develop exemplary character as they become their best selves.
Socialization for our Youngest Scholars
In the Lower School, our full-time counselor helps students develop positive social behavior and upstanding character through lessons on topics such as developing friendships, communication skills, giving compliments, bullying prevention, and the beginnings of appropriate digital citizenship. In addition, we introduce monthly character development topics during Assembly and reinforce the lessons in the classroom.
Advisors and Advocates
Every Middle and Upper School student is assigned a faculty advisor who is responsible for understanding the needs and aspirations of each individual. Throughout the year, advisors provide personal guidance and lessons in life skills and core values during weekly small group sessions and individual meetings. As a trusted advocate and mentor, advisors know their students and help them fulfill their potential.
