Overview
Women's Basketball Program Overview
Saint Mary’s Hall women’s basketball program sets forth to teach and guide young women in basketball skills, knowledge, and competition while instilling core values of humility, unity, gratitude, and enthusiasm. Competing in TAPPS District 3- 5A the team faces tough opponents as well as a highly competitive non-district schedule. The basketball season begins in mid-October (delayed to November in 2020 due to Covid-19) and runs through the end of February. Games and practices are held over both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday breaks. The women's basketball program believes that in addition to competing on the court, basketball can be a great teaching tool for life skills such as resiliency in the face of defeat, teamwork, goal setting, and patience. Members of the basketball program: players, families, coaches, and fans should always strive to live up to the program's core values both on and off the basketball court.
