We strongly believe that a student's power to access a world-class independent school education should not be limited by their family's ability to pay full tuition.

Saint Mary's Hall is dedicated to attracting students from a broad range of economic backgrounds and strives to assist families for whom the cost of school tuition is the only barrier to attendance. Financial Aid

The SMH financial aid program provides tuition assistance to qualified students with demonstrated need, and we encourage any family who may need assistance to apply. Moreover, we are proud to partner with Clarity to assist us in determining a family's need. Most families can apply in 20-30 minutes or less, and customer service is available in both English and Spanish. The application - which is $60 - is also just as easy to complete on a mobile device as it is on a computer.

Financial aid consideration is for students in Forms 1-12 who have been accepted to or are currently attending Saint Mary's Hall.

The deadline for submitting your financial aid application to Clarity is Friday, December 6, 2024.
Financial aid applications will open Friday, October 4, 2024.

New Students

Apply to SMH and check the box on the SMH application indicating interest in financial aid. Financial aid applications will not be considered unless a student is offered admission to SMH.
Complete the financial aid application through Clarity by December 6, 2024, which should take 20-30 minutes or less. This process will require you to complete a Form 4506c granting Clarity permission to pull your prior year tax returns directly from the IRS. Financial aid applications will open Friday, October 4, 2024. For guidance on submitting the financial aid application, view Clarity's Family Application Guide. The Family Application Guide is also available in Spanish.
If the financial aid application and all documents have been submitted properly and on time, financial aid decisions will be communicated at the same time as admission decisions.

Returning Students

Complete the financial aid application through Clarity by December 6, 2024, which should take 20-30 minutes or less. This process will require you to complete a Form 4506c granting Clarity permission to pull your prior year tax returns directly from the IRS. If the financial aid application and all documents have been submitted properly and on time, financial aid decisions - if granted - will appear on the reenrollment contract.

Financial aid is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to those who qualify and meet the deadlines as funds are available. Financial aid will not be offered unless all required tax documents are verified through Clarity.

Scholarship applicants and recipients are eligible to apply for financial aid if additional need exists.
