Each year, Saint Mary’s Hall sends a new class of graduates off on a journey toward success in college and fulfillment in life after carefully preparing them. While it’s always hard to say goodbye, we’re excited to see our graduates go out into the world to pursue their destiny of success and accomplishment.
Graduating seniors heading off to college aren’t the only ones who are celebrating the next step in their educational journey. Our Form 5 Barons celebrated their promotion to Middle School, and our Form 8 Barons celebrated their promotion to Upper School. These ceremonies are time-honored traditions at Saint Mary’s Hall, marking our students’ transition not just from one Form to the next, but to the next division and next phase of their SMH journey.
Last week, Saint Mary’s Hall’s Athletic Director and Head Varsity Basketball Coach Barry Chamberlin was named a Don Coleman Outstanding Coach by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC). The award is granted to only one coach in the Large Private Schools category, and Coach Chamberlin came out on top.
Two Form 9 Barons were honored by UT Health San Antonio as Voelcker Scholars. They will be taking part in the Max and Minnie Tomerlin Voelcker Fund Biomedical Research Academy (VBRA) over the summer and throughout the remainder of their high school careers. Paulina E. ’24 and Avani G. ’24 have been selected to take part in the prestigious program out of only 23 students in San Antonio.
Ever year in May, Saint Mary’s Hall seniors reveal their college choices. In what is known as College Shirt Day, members of the graduating class proudly wear shirts and sweaters of the college they plan to attend in the fall.
