SMH Headlines
During the first weekend of April 2025, we welcomed over 300 alumni, former faculty members, and guests to campus for special celebrations of lifelong friendship and learning at Saint Mary's Hall.
Saint Mary’s Hall mourns the loss of long-time faculty member Brian Kaestner, who passed away on April 8, 2025.
"Brian was a beloved and revered teacher," said Head of School Len Miller. "No one ever heard him utter a negative word. Brian was so full of life, and belief in our students and his colleagues. In his 44 years of service at Saint Mary’s Hall, he positively impacted thousands of lives, and he will be sorely missed."
Last week, our College Counseling Office welcomed ten college admissions representatives from across the country for our annual Reverse Advisory Board (RAB). These esteemed professionals spent their time here speaking with myriad constituents to gain insight into our community and the work we do. They also led a case studies program for juniors and their parents. This exercise in reviewing applications - with a college representative - provides students and parents with invaluable insight into the world of college admissions.
Saint Mary's Hall Form 11 students set the stage for challenging and important conversations as students, faculty, and guest speakers gathered for our 33rd Annual Issues Day on Thursday, February 27, 2025. This annual tradition, hosted by our Form 11 Issues Day Committee, demonstrates our School’s commitment to fostering a dynamic learning community, openness to viewpoint diversity, and a desire to seek understanding about today’s most important issues.
