The mission of the Media and Visual Arts program at Saint Mary's Hall is to provide students with the tools, discipline, and structure to realize their creative potential through the exploration of aesthetics, art history, and contemporary issues in art including the production of original works of art. Student-artists receive an education in art that combines the acquisition of knowledge, the cultivation of higher-order thinking, the development of studio skills, and the opportunity for expression.
